Area
Geographically located in the municipality of Hörgársveit in the north of Iceland, yet only 10 minutes from downtown Akureyri, a town that is an attraction not only because of its high level of service, but also because of its connection to nature with all its vegetation and botanical gardens.
The Hlíðarfjall ski area is undoubtedly the best in Iceland and the Kjarnaskógur (forest) also offers great, protected Nordic skiing conditions.
Surrondings
In the surroundings of Hagaskógur, a spruce- and poplar tree forest, lies the estate at the seaside with low grown birch encircling that gives the location a unique shelter from the highland winds. Beautiful and unspoiled 180° views of Eyjafjörður and Kaldbakur mountain to the north and the bottom of the fjord to the south. The foreshore is a mediation itself with either a afternoon stroll along the rocky beach or a relaxation on the verandas warm pool or benches
