Svart Lodge was built with great environmental awareness and in accordance with the traditional Icelandic building heritage, using wood as the main material with pitched roofs like the old turf houses and the characteristic corrugated iron cladding.
When designing the exterior, great emphasis was placed on eliminating the effects of the elements and using them to our advantage as we have plenty of snow in winter and plenty of warmth and sunshine in summer.
Main Lodge
The main lodge has a total of 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room and a TV room
On the terrace the hot tub overlooking the fjord and on the other side of the house an outdoor dining area with BBQ
Two master bedrooms are en-suite and the third room has a large bathroom right next door.
SONOS stereo sound system connecting the living room, TV room and kitchen.
Guest Lodge
The guest house features two bedrooms, a large bathroom, and a wellness area equipped with a Finnish sauna, relaxation room, cold plunge pool, shower, refreshment sink and a SONOS stereo system.
